SLV High’s Jaice Williamson Receives $5000 Scholarship

San Lorenzo Valley High School senior Jaice Williamson is the recipient of the $5000 Isabella Fowler Sewell Scholarship through the Community Foundation of Santa Cruz County. According to Jaice’s English and Debate teacher, Jaice’s intellectual curiosity and collaborative nature led him to become a leader in the classroom. Jaice says that growing up with parents of differing political ideologies instilled in him a desire to bridge divides and make a difference through the social sciences. The 3.7 GPA student has led teams to multiple National Speech and Debate Tournament, serving as a mentor to novice team members. He loves public speaking and hopes to earn a BA in political science. Jaice will attend Indiana University in the fall.
