Fire Recovery Permit Center Open

This morning, December 4, 2020, the county announced the opening of their Fire Recovery Permit Center for residents who lost or experienced damage to their homes during the #czulightningcomplex fire.

FIRE RECOVERY PERMIT CENTER NOW OPENThe County of Santa Cruz announces the opening of the Recovery Permit Center (RPC) to assist CZU Lightning Complex residents with all aspects of permitting for the rebuilding process.

The County is offering technical assistance, streamlined permit processes, information about pre-application clearances and support as residents begin the rebuilding process. Residents are encouraged to contact the Recovery Permit Center as early as possible to discuss rebuilding plans and to learn more about the process.

“We encourage all residents to begin discussing their rebuilding plans with us as soon as they can,” Planning Director Kathy Molloy said.

The Permit Recovery Center is open Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m. (closed noon-1 p.m. for lunch). To schedule a virtual appointment, call 831-454-5323, email RPC@santacruzcounty.us,or self-schedule a virtual appointment by visiting http://rpcappt.timetap.com. Limited in-person appointments are also available if needed.

    In the March San Lorenzo Valley Post there is mention of webinars by UPH. I could not find any reference to the webinars. Searching your site did not return any results. Would you inform me as to when the webinars are going to take place? The address given in your paper under “Resources for Fire Survivors” is “slvpost.com/fire recovery”.
