Golf fundraiser at Boulder Creek Golf Club to support SLV boys golf
Four-person scramble and spaghetti feed set for Sunday, September 20
Boulder Creek Golf Club will host a four-person scramble on Sunday, September 20, to raise money for the San Lorenzo Valley High School Boys Golf Team. Proceeds cover range balls, apparel and equipment, tournament entry fees, team bags and transportation to matches.
The tournament begins with a 3:30 p.m. shotgun start and is open to golfers of all skill levels. Groups that register together stay together, and individual players are paired into a foursome. A spaghetti feed follows at 5:30 p.m. alongside a silent auction and a 50/50 raffle, with raffle tickets sold in person at the event.
Player entry is offered at three tiers — $100, $150 and $200 — with $40, $90 and $140 of each entry going directly to the team. Every tier includes the same tournament package: green fee, spaghetti feed, a soft drink, and a hat and sleeve of logo’d balls, a package the club values at more than $75. Carts and adult beverages are sold separately. On-course contests include prizes for the winning scramble team, closest to the pin and long drive.
Neighbors who don’t golf are welcome at the dinner. The spaghetti feed alone is $25 for guests 13 and older, and children 12 and under eat free. Businesses and families can also sponsor a hole for $200; multiple sponsors may share a hole, and no tee time is required. The team is also accepting cash donations and silent auction items such as goods, gift certificates and coupons.
The team’s season fundraising goal is $8,300, of which about $2,290 has been raised so far.
