Ben Lomond Park Gets a New Flag

A new American flag now flies at Ben Lomond Park on Mill Street, the result of a community collaboration. The project began when a Rotary volunteer inquired about supporting an improvement at the park — a flagpole was already in place, but lacked a flag, light, and rigging. After county parks officials signed off on the donation and agreed to handle the installation, Noah Brown, a soon-to-be Eagle Scout from Troop 604 donated a 4′ x 6′ American flag. Santa Cruz County Parks completed the installation. “It’s a great example of the community coming together,” said Kym Morello, Beautification Committee Chair at Ben Lomond Village Alliance.

Visit the park at 9525 Mill St in Ben Lomond from dawn to dusk. Dogs are allowed on leash.
