Spring Baseball and Softball Sign-Ups
As winter rains give way to longer days and sunnier skies, it’s time for athletes of all ages to dust off their gear and sign up for spring sports leagues in and around the San Lorenzo Valley! Whether you’re a seasoned player or looking to try a new activity, local leagues offer a fantastic way to stay active, build friendships, and engage in teamwork.
What’s Available?
San Lorenzo Valley and surrounding areas offer a variety of spring sports for youth and adults alike. Here are some of the options to consider:
- Little League Baseball: SLV Little League has already hosted their signups and team notifications are in the works. However, the league is looking to hire umpires. Youth age 16+ and seasoned umpires are welcome to apply. Learn more about the league at https://www.slvlittleleague.com/league. - SCM Renegades Girls Softball: Valley fastpitch softball spring season begins soon. The team plays and practices year round. Contact coach Jeri at scmrenegades@gmail.com.
- Youth Soccer: Register now, practices begin in March. More info at https://svslvsoccerclub.org/spring-rec
- Santa Cruz Pony Baseball: The league offers competitive recreational baseball for youth age 12 to 14 in Santa Cruz County. Tryouts are scheduled, Feb 9th noon to 3 pm at Harbor High School’s Baseball field. Contact coach Ken Castro for more info at 831-419-9024.
