Humble Sea Tavern Reopens

Community Embraces Felton Taproom

By Julie Horner

Taking a breath to regroup, Humble Sea Tavern in the old Cremer House building near the corner of Graham Hill and Highway 9 in downtown Felton has reopened for weekend pours. They’re focusing on serving their award-winning craft brews, select wines, and artisanal cocktails Friday, Saturday, and Sunday and featuring a fresh food pop-up from popular culinary artist Santa Cruz Breadboy Lance Ebert, king of the smash burger. Taylor West, one of three co-founders, along with Frank Scott Krueger and Nick Pavlinagm who all grew up in the San Lorenzo Valley and graduated from SLV High, said that the pub is coming back in increments.

Humble Sea Tavern in downtown Felton is open for weekend pours with gourmet food popups.

Humble Sea Brewing Company is renowned for their foggy IPAs and has taprooms in Westside Santa Cruz and Pacifica. They opened the Felton Tavern in February of 2022. Sometimes a little pause is all you need to get back on track; the return of the Tavern, even if just on a part time basis, has many in the San Lorenzo Valley looking forward. And judging by the number of locals queuing to get in the door on a Saturday night, there’s a lot of positive energy brewing. Welcome back to the familiar space with its polished wooden bar and hammered copper fittings and drink in the cozy vibe. You can expect tons of rotating taps to try and tasty gourmet eats to pair them with.
