Welcome, Amir! Round Table Pizza Opens in Boulder Creek
Boulder Creek has a new place to gather around a pie. Round Table Pizza has opened at 13200 Highway 9 (Central Avenue), in the Burl Building. And owner Amir Sadat is eager to meet his new neighbors.
Amir is no stranger to the San Lorenzo Valley. He already owns the popular Round Table in the Felton Fair Shopping Center, and has now brought that his pizza-making skills a few miles up the road.
A fresh look, inside and out
Regulars of the former Boulder Creek Pizza & Pub will restaurant’s character with its timber posts and beams and the split-level dining room, but much has changed. Amir has invested in the space with new wood flooring and bright, fresh paint that opens the whole space up. There’s plenty of room for meetings, birthday parties, and sports team celebrations. Numerous new big-screen TVs make it a great place to catch the game.
The new outside signage was made by local business SignAge & ArtWorks.
“The Last Honest Pizza”
Founder Bill Larson opened the first Round Table in Menlo Park in 1959, setting out to make a quality, family-style pizza. In the 1980s and 1990s, as other chains turned to mass-produced and low-cost ingredients, Round Table adopted “The Last Honest Pizza” for its tagline as a way of saying it would keep doing things the traditional way and refuse to cut corners.
Expect the familiar Round Table lineup: specialty and gourmet pizzas such as the Chicken & Garlic Gourmet, plus wings, salads, garlic bread, sandwiches and desserts. Current features include a new Margherita and a limited-time Dr Pepper BBQ promotion. Pizzas come in personal, small, medium, large and extra-large, so there’s a size for a quick lunch or a whole crew.
