Felton Fire Board Position Open | Applications Due July 19
Notice of Vacancy – for the position of Fire District Director
The Felton Fire Protection District has announced a vacancy on its Board of Directors. The Fire Board is now accepting applications to fill the open position, which has been vacant since June 16. The appointed position carries a term that extends through December 2028.
Interested applicants must act quickly, as the application period was noticed only with a July 9 posting on the district website and will close at 5 pm on July 19, 2025. The Fire Board will review applications and conduct interviews on July 21, with the appointment expected on or after July 25.
To apply, candidates must be residents of the Felton Fire Protection District, with residency verifiable through the County of Santa Cruz or by contacting the District at (831) 335-4422. Applications are available at the Felton Fire Protection District Office, located at 131 Kirby Street, Felton. The district office is open Monday through Friday, from 8 am to 12 pm and 1 pm to 5 pm.
