April 5 “Hands Off!” Protest Draws Thousands in Santa Cruz
On April 5, 2025, a large crowd gathered at the Santa Cruz County Courthouse for the “Hands Off!” protest, part of a nationwide series of demonstrations organized in response to Trump administration policies. The event drew attendees from across the county, filling the courthouse lawn and surrounding spaces.
The Santa Cruz event was one of over 1,000 protests held across the U.S. on the same day, according to organizers.
