CA Coastal Commission Art & Poetry Contest
Students in grades K through 12 are invited to submit their original art and poetry to the California Coastal Commission’s Coastal Art & Poetry Contest. All entries must have a California ocean or coastal theme. Last day to enter is January 31 2021. Review contest guidelines at https://www.coastal.ca.gov/art-poetry/#guidelines. The event is sponsored by Acorn Naturalists.

Here’s the process:
- Read the Contest Guidelines
- Create your art or poetry
- Learn How to Enter the contest
- Complete the Entry Form and upload your work.
Additionally:
- Download contest flyer and guidelines in ENGLISH or SPANISH
- Check out some Teacher Resources, including brainstorming prompts and Common Core connections
- Sign up for the contest mailing list
- If you’re unable to upload your entry and complete the online entry form, find out how to enter by mail.
Winners will be notified in March 2021.
