Welcome back to The Good Old Fashioned Bluegrass Festival at San Benito County Historical Park Thursday, August 10 through Sunday, August 13, 2023!
The “GOF” has been held each summer since 1994. This family friendly festival features three wonderful days of California bands on the main stage as well as hot campground pickers on the side stage between main acts. The GOF is also legendary among festival fans for both the quality and quantity of campground jamming.

~ Kids Programs ~
The GOF is kid friendly, with a Kids on Stage program for budding bluegrass musicians and a wonderful volunteer-staffed crafts and activities corral next to the audience area.
~ Food and Libation ~
Beer: Sold by the San Benito County Historical Society in the old fashioned Saloon.
Food: “We Cook for You” (all 3 days) | The SBCHS is selling a full BBQ dinner on Saturday night only.
~ Camping ~
Tent camping under shade trees and a spacious meadow for RVs.
The weather in August is typically comfortably warm during the day, with nights that range from mild to cold (pack layers!). Bring your dancing shoes for the late-night barn dance on Saturday.
Hot showers: Located in the main restrooms. Two portable shower units are beside the Palmtag Cutting Shed (past the Saloon). All are open 24 hours per day.
~ Dogs ~
Dogs Are Welcome. Park Rules are:
A. Dogs must be kept in the enclosed dog areas and on a leash at all times. There is an enclosed dog area behind the main audience area.
B. Owners are responsible for carrying doggie bags and cleaning up after their pets.
C. No dogs can be left in enclosed cars; no dogs are allowed in town, main music field or road.
