$25The First Annual Cosmic Cruz Gathering takes over the Santa Cruz County Veterans Memorial Building on Saturday, April 13, 2024 from 5:00 to 11:00 pm featuring Nugz, Aardvark, and Dead Roses plus Little John the DJ. A cosmic co-production from Mountain Music Productions and Raindance Presents.
There’ll be dancing everywhere!!
All ages. A portion of the proceeds from this event go to veterans services in Santa Cruz County.
NUGZ

AARDVARK
Aardvark is a jam band, indigenous to the SF Bay Area, that has been channeling the spirit of the Grateful Dead and like-minded music with choice songs, sweet vocals and transcendent jams since 2011. Aardvark features the talents of Jon “Skippy” Sherred (bass), Robert Parker (drums), Ben Hollin (keys), and Greg Gavalakis (guitar), often joined by tasty percussionist Paul Stevens and exceptional vocalist Jenifer Freebairn. As the popularity of the Grateful Dead has grown over the years, so has the number of Grateful Dead musicians in the Bay Area. Aardvark distinguishes itself with a consistent lineup, persistent rehearsing, and hair-splitting dedication to authentic renditions of the material. Aardvark performs several times a month on average, having played hundreds of shows at various venues, private parties and festivals.

Grateful Dead tribute: Sometimes funky, a little trippy, always danceable. Todd Bugbee and Nate Beltz on guitars, Tim Baker on bass, James Miller on keys, and Preston Barnes on drums, Dead Roses pays homage to the timeless sound and transformative live performances of the Grateful Dead.
