China Cats at the Santa Cruz Veterans Hall

Performing with the same line up for over 12 years the China Cats delight Dead fans with their extensive catalog of Grateful Dead songs, which they bend and stretch into their own versions of timeless classics. A total dance band with spiraling jams that weave themselves into the audience and before you know it, there’s a connection, and everybody’s dancin!

Always a colorful scene with a Shakedown vending scene along the halls of the charming 1930s era building. Enjoy the show from the dance floor (all ages) or from the upper mezzanine (21 and up) or even from out in the courtyard where the tall windows allow the sweet sounds to waft into the night air. You’ll feel like you stepped into the 60’s, Santa Cruz style!
