His latest release\, Circles & the Flames is receiving airplay nationwide and has earned him awards from the International Song Competition\, Bluebird Cafe Taylor Golden Pick Contest as well as the Telluride Blues and Brews Blues Challenge. Anthony performs weekly around the San Francisco Bay Area both solo and with the Anthony Arya Band. In summer 2022\, the Anthony Arya band performed on the main stage of Santa Cruz’s well known festivals – Redwood Mountain Faire\, Santa Cruz Mountain Jam and Capitola Art and Wine. \nJoe Waters is a multitalented musician out of Dayton Ohio who plays Blues\, Funk\, Folk\, and Americana music. Joe is a singer and a songwriter. He writes original music and he also pays homage to original blues artist by singing old blues standards and deep cuts. The new EP\, by Joe Waters and The Back Porch Band\, shows off Joe’s skills as a musician as well as his skills as a songwriter. Other recent events for Joe Waters include winning the 2022 Telluride Blues Challenge which awarded him a spot on the Durango Blues Train and the opening show of the 2023 Telluride Blues and Brews Festival. Joe Waters is pouring his creative expression into the EP with his band and a Solo Album that he is excited to share with you all! In one of his trademarked\, arm-waving\, illustrated talks\, he will attempt to resolve some of the Big Puzzlements for newcomers and long-timers alike that makes our county what it is. What is Calamity Cruz? Why do we call it South County when it’s not? These are just a couple of the questions Lydon will provide insight and historical perspective into.\n\n\nDescribed by many as Central California’s pre-eminent “standup historian\,” Lydon is an award-winning author\, teacher and historian\, as well as a retired faculty member from Cabrillo College where he taught from 1968 to 2022. He is a leading expert on Santa Cruz County history and has researched and written widely on the rich immigration history of the Monterey Bay Region.

Boulder Creek United Methodist Church\, 12855 Boulder Street\, Boulder Creek.  \nConcertino Strings most ambitious concert to date\, celebrating the group’s third year of playing together. Featuring 25 performers on a multitude of classical instruments from across Santa Cruz County. Jean-Fery Rebel’s “Les Elements”; portions of J.S. Bach’s Cantata 99 “Was Gott Tut Ist Wohlgetan” with choir. Joanne Tanner and Renata Bratt co-direct the orchestra; Crista Beryessa\, director of Pacific Voices\, directs the choir. The acoustical setting is the 120 year old redwood sanctuary of the historic Boulder Creek United Methodist Church. Admission is FREE\, donations accepted.
