DESCRIPTION:Concertino Strings classical music concert\, “A Feast of Noels\,” is happening on Saturday December 9 at 3:00 pm in the Boulder Creek United Methodist Church beautiful 100+ year old redwood sanctuary. Featuring Concertino Strings 25-piece string orchestra plus expert flute and recorder soloists Kathleen Purcell and Carol Panofsky\, and Robert Jackson on organ. \nProgram for the season: Noels for Instruments by Marc-Antoine Charpentier; Wexford Carol\, arr. Katie LaBrie; Sleigh Ride by Leroy Anderson; Pastorale from Handel’s Messiah. Joanne Tanner and Renata Bratt direct the orchestra. As always\, concerts are less than an hour long. Free admission\, donations gladly accepted.

SUMMARY:Love Creek: Tribute to John Burton
DESCRIPTION:Please join us at the Historic Brookdale Lodge for a very special performance by Love Creek on Saturday\, December 9 from 7:30 to 11:30 pm. This is a memorial concert for John Burton who recently passed very suddenly. John was the drummer for Love Creek\, The Jamissaries\, The Mojo Navigators\, Plateau Jazz Band and was a session drummer/percussionist for many other projects. Love Creek will be joined by a host of other area performers who have played with John.\nHere’s the schedule of events:\n\n7:30 – 8:00 – Plateau Jazz Band in the Beer Garden\n8:00-8:45 – Acoustic Love Creek in the Fireside Lounge\n9:00-10:00 – Electric Love Creek w/Paul Stevens on drums\n10:05-11:00 – Many of John’s musical cohorts perform\n\nThe Historic Brookdale Lodge will stay open late for this event.\n\nLove Creek just released their first album.
